PRIVACY POLICY

This Privacy Policy ("Policy") explains how your personal data ("Personal Information") is collected, used, and protected when you interact with the Plotgo website ("Website"), mobile application ("App"), and related services (together, the "Services"). It also outlines your rights and choices regarding your Personal Information and how to access or modify it. By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. This Policy is a binding agreement between you ("User") and us ("Operator", "we", "our"). This Policy does not extend to third parties we do not own or control.

Unless otherwise stated herein, this Policy applies to all websites, mobile applications, digital products, and other services operated by Plotgo that reference or link to this Policy, as well as our offline services (collectively, the "Services").

By accessing or using the Services, you acknowledge and agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree with any part of this Policy, you must discontinue use of the Services immediately.

Capitalized terms not defined in this Policy shall have the meanings assigned to them in the Plotgo Terms of Service, available at Plotgo Terms of Service

Information We Collect

When you use or interact with our Services, we may collect various categories of information from you. The specific information we collect depends on the nature of your interaction with the Services. Certain information is essential for us to deliver the Services to you; if you withhold this information or request its deletion, you may lose access to certain features or the Services as a whole. The information we collect falls into three categories: information you submit directly, information gathered automatically through your use of the Services, and information obtained from external sources.

Information you provide directly.

We may collect information that you voluntarily submit to us. This occurs, for example, when you register for an account, use the Services, contact our support team, subscribe to updates, or enter a promotional event. The information you provide may relate to you or to third parties, and may include, without limitation:

1. Email address;

2. Username or display name;

3. Payment details (processed through our authorized payment service providers);

4. Your User Content (as defined in the Terms of Service), including images you upload and Characters you share publicly;

5. The substance of any correspondence you send to us.

Providing this information is voluntary; however, certain features of the Services may be unavailable if you choose not to submit the requested information.

Information we collect automatically.

We, along with our third-party partners—including advertising networks and analytics providers such as Google Analytics—may employ cookies, web beacons, and comparable tracking mechanisms to gather data about the devices (including mobile devices) you use to access the Services. As detailed below, the information we collect and analyze may include, without limitation: (a) browser type and version; (b) internet service provider and operating system; (c) domain name; (d) timestamps of access; (e) referring and exit pages; (f) pages viewed; (g) IP address; (h) unique device identifiers (such as IDFA or Android Advertising ID); (i) the version of our Services you are using; and (j) the type of device you are using. We may also monitor the frequency and manner in which you engage with the Services, including your navigation patterns within our Website or App. This information (including data collected by our third-party vendors) may be used for analytical purposes (such as identifying which features are most popular and understanding user preferences), measuring the effectiveness of advertising campaigns, and for any other purpose described in this Policy.

We and our third-party vendors may utilize cookies, clear GIFs, pixel tags, and similar technologies to gain insight into user behavior, remember your preferences, conduct research and analysis, and enhance the Services. These technologies enable us, among other things, to customize the Services to your preferences, retain your password in secure areas, monitor the pages you visit, manage our content, and compile aggregate usage statistics. We or our vendors may also deploy these technologies in emails sent to our customers to track open rates, measure response rates, and determine whether emails have been forwarded.

Most web browsers are configured to accept cookies by default, but you may adjust your browser settings to reject cookies if you prefer. Disabling cookies may impair your experience, as certain features of the Services may not function correctly. As we adopt new technologies, we may collect additional information through alternative methods. When you use the Services, we may also collect approximate location data, such as the general geographic area inferred from your IP address.

Information we collect from other sources.

We may obtain information about you from external parties, for instance, when another user refers you to our Services. We may also receive information about you from social media platforms, such as Facebook, when you engage with our official social media profiles.

Additionally, we may collect information when you sign in to your account using credentials from a third-party platform, such as a social media account ("Third-Party Account"). In such cases, the Services may collect information from your Third-Party Account in accordance with the permissions you grant. When you authenticate through a Third-Party Account such as Facebook or Google, we receive account-identifying information from that provider. We store this information and use it to facilitate your access to the Services. Linking your account to a Third-Party Account is entirely optional, and you will be prompted to grant permission when you attempt to connect. You may revoke this permission at any time by accessing your Third-Party Account settings and disconnecting Plotgo, or through the native settings on your mobile device. Information we have previously collected may be retained in accordance with this Policy.

How We Use the Information We Collect

We may process your information for any of the following purposes:

1. To deliver, operate, and manage the Services;

2. To tailor and personalize your experience with the Services;

3. To communicate with you, including notifying you about features or updates we believe may interest you, or informing you of changes to our terms, policies, or conditions;

4. To respond to your inquiries, comments, feedback, or questions, and to engage in other forms of correspondence with you;

5. To analyze, maintain, enhance, modify, customize, and evaluate the Services, including training our artificial intelligence and machine learning models;

6. To develop new products, programs, and services;

7. To detect and prevent fraud, criminal activity, or abuse of the Services, and to safeguard the security of our IT systems, infrastructure, and networks;

8. To comply with legal obligations and legal process, and to protect the rights, privacy, safety, or property of Plotgo, our affiliates, you, or other parties, including enforcing our Terms of Service and other agreements;

9. To fulfill any other purpose for which the information was collected.

We may combine information collected through the Services with information obtained from other sources. We may also aggregate and/or de-identify information collected through the Services. De-identified or aggregated data may be used and disclosed for any purpose, including, without limitation, research and marketing.

FAQ: Can anyone access my chat history? Is my account information protected?

Your chat history and account data are encrypted. We employ end-to-end encryption to ensure that your private conversations remain exclusively between you and the Characters you engage with. Not even Plotgo can access or read these conversations, unless you elect to share them publicly. This protection extends to your text and voice messages, viewing history, private memories and Characters, image generation records, and status updates.

When We Disclose the Information We Collect

We may share your information under the following circumstances:

1. Affiliates: We may disclose information to our affiliates—entities that control, are controlled by, or are under common control with Plotgo. Our affiliates may process the disclosed information in a manner consistent with this Policy.

2. Vendors and Service Providers: We may share your information with employees, consultants, and third-party vendors who require access to perform services on our behalf, including providers of data storage, payment processing, technology support, customer service, analytics, fraud prevention, legal services, and marketing.

3. Protection of Plotgo and Others: We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary or appropriate to (i) protect or defend Plotgo or other parties, including enforcing this Policy, our Terms of Service, or any other contractual agreement; and/or (ii) safeguard the rights, property, or personal safety of Plotgo, our agents and affiliates, our employees, our users, or the general public.

4. Advertising and Analytics: Although we do not currently engage in advertising as of the effective date of this Policy, we may in the future share or make available certain information with advertising and analytics partners to display advertisements on our behalf across the internet and to provide analytics services. These partners may use cookies and tracking technologies to, among other things, track and analyze data, gauge the popularity of content, deliver interest-based advertising and content, and better understand online user behavior. For information on managing the use of your browsing data for advertising purposes, please refer to the "Online Analytics and Tailored Advertising" section below.

5. Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that such action is necessary or appropriate to comply with law enforcement, legal, or regulatory proceedings, including responding to warrants, subpoenas, court orders, or other applicable laws and regulations.

6. Business Transactions: We may disclose information in connection with the negotiation, execution, or completion of any merger, sale of assets, financing, or acquisition of all or part of our business by another entity.

7. Your User Content: Certain actions you take may be visible to other users or may result in content being shared with other users of the Services. For example, if you create User Content such as a public Character, we may make that Character available on the Services. If you participate in a Group Chat, you are directing us to share your messages with other members of that Group Chat, which may include Characters and other users on the Services.

8. Other Disclosures with Your Consent: We may share your information with non-affiliated third parties when you consent to such disclosure. For example, you may direct us to share information about you when you refer our Services to friends or acquaintances.

Online Analytics and Tailored Advertising

Analytics.

We may integrate third-party web analytics services, such as Google Analytics, into the Services. These providers use technologies similar to those described in the "Information We Collect Automatically" section above to help us understand how users interact with the Services, including identifying the third-party website from which you arrived. The information gathered by these technologies is shared with or collected directly by these providers, who use it to evaluate your use of the Services. We may also use Google Analytics for advertising-related purposes, as described in the following section. To opt out of Google Analytics for web analytics, you may install the browser plugin available at https://link.wtturl.cn/?target=https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout&scene=im&aid=582478&lang=zh.

Tailored Advertising.

Although we do not currently engage in advertising as of the effective date of this Policy, we may in the future permit third-party advertising networks to place cookies or similar tracking technologies on your computer, mobile device, or other equipment to collect information about your use of the Services. This information may be used to (a) deliver, optimize, and serve marketing content based on your prior visits to our Website and other online services, and (b) report on how impressions of and interactions with our marketing content relate to visits to our online services. We may also allow other non-affiliated parties (such as ad networks and ad servers, including Google Analytics) to serve tailored marketing to you and to access their own cookies or tracking technologies on the device you use to access the Services. These parties may provide you with a means to opt out of targeted advertising, as described below. You may receive tailored advertising through your web browser. Cookies may be linked to de-identified data derived from information you voluntarily submit (such as your email address), which we may share with vendors in hashed, non-human-readable form.

If you wish to learn more about tailored advertising and how to manage cookies used for delivering tailored marketing, you may visit https://link.wtturl.cn/?target=https://www.networkadvertising.org/choices&scene=im&aid=582478&lang=zh, https://link.wtturl.cn/?target=https://www.aboutads.info/choices&scene=im&aid=582478&lang=zh, and/or https://link.wtturl.cn/?target=https://youronlinechoices.eu/&scene=im&aid=582478&lang=zh to opt out of tailored advertising from participating companies. To manage how Google personalizes display advertising or to customize Google Display Network ads, visit https://link.wtturl.cn/?target=https://www.google.com/settings/ads&scene=im&aid=582478&lang=zh. Please note that if advertising technology is integrated into the Services, you may still receive advertising even after opting out of tailored advertising; however, such advertising may not be personalized to your interests. Additionally, we do not control any of the opt-out links referenced above and are not responsible for your use of those mechanisms or their continued availability or accuracy. If your browser is configured to reject cookies when you visit these opt-out pages, or if you subsequently clear your cookies, switch devices, or change browsers, your opt-out may cease to be effective.

Your Choices

We provide you with certain options regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of your information.

Marketing communications.

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails by following the instructions contained in those emails. Please note that even if you opt out of marketing emails, we may still send you administrative or transactional communications regarding the Services, such as notices of updates to our Terms of Service or this Policy.

Cookies and analytics.

You may opt out of certain cookie-based and analytics processing by following the instructions provided in this Policy.

Rights to information about you.

Depending on your jurisdiction, applicable law may grant you certain rights regarding your personal information. You may request that we:

1. Disclose to you the categories of personal information we collect or share about you; the categories of sources from which such information is obtained; the business or commercial purpose for collecting it; and the categories of non-affiliated parties with whom we share such information. This information is also set forth in this Policy;

2. Provide you with access to and/or a copy of certain information we maintain about you;

3. Cease processing your information for direct marketing purposes (including profiling for direct marketing);

4. Correct or update information that is inaccurate or outdated;

5. Delete certain information we hold about you;

6. Restrict the manner in which we process and disclose certain information about you;

7. Transfer your information to a third-party service provider;

8. Opt out of the processing of your personal information for profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects, where applicable;

9. Withdraw your consent to the processing of your information.

You may designate an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf. For an authorized agent to be verified, you must provide the agent with signed written authorization or a power of attorney. We may also contact you directly to verify your identity before processing the agent's request, as permitted by applicable law.

Please be aware that certain information may be exempt from such requests under applicable law. For instance, we may retain certain information to comply with legal obligations and to secure the Services. We may require certain information to deliver the Services to you; if you request its deletion, you may no longer be able to use the Services.

You also have the right not to be discriminated against (as provided by applicable law) for exercising your privacy rights.

You may further have the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information or the processing of your personal information for targeted advertising. To opt out of any future targeted advertising we may offer, please use the tools described in the "Tailored Advertising" section above.

If you wish to learn more about your rights under applicable law or would like to exercise any of them, please contact us at support@plotgo.com. To protect your privacy and security, we take reasonable measures to verify your identity before fulfilling your requests. If we are unable to verify your identity, we may not be able to respond to your request.

Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to appeal our decision if we deny your request. We will provide instructions on how to exercise this right in our response denying the request.

Regional privacy disclosures and rights. Additional disclosures for residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, California, and Nevada are provided below in "Regional Privacy Disclosures."

Regional Privacy Disclosures

Residents of the European Economic Area and United Kingdom.

Plotgo acts as the "data controller" of the "personal data" (as defined under the General Data Protection Regulation) we process under this Policy. This means Plotgo determines the purposes and means of collecting, using, and disclosing your personal data, in accordance with applicable law. Under the laws of the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, data controllers are required to inform you of the legal basis on which they rely for processing your personal data. To the extent these laws apply, our legal bases are as follows:

1. Contractual Necessity: We may process personal data to fulfill our contractual obligations to you, including performing our agreements and honoring the commitments we have made to you.

2. Consent: Where required by law, and in certain other circumstances, we process personal data based on your consent.

3. Legitimate Interests: We may process personal data where it is necessary for our legitimate business interests, provided that such interests are not overridden by your fundamental rights and freedoms. Examples include providing customer support, conducting certain promotional activities, analyzing and improving our business, ensuring the security of the Services, preventing fraud, and managing legal matters.

4. Legal Obligation: We may process and disclose personal data as necessary to comply with our legal obligations.

In addition to the rights described elsewhere in this Policy, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority. We encourage you to contact us first, however, and we will make every effort to address your concern.

Residents of Nevada.

If you are a Nevada resident, you have the right to opt out of the sale of certain personal information to non-affiliated parties. You may exercise this right by contacting us as described in the "Contact Us" section below, with the subject line "Nevada Do Not Sell Request," and providing your name and email address. We do not currently sell your personal information as that term is defined in Nevada Revised Statutes Chapter 603A.

Residents of California.

Throughout this Policy, we describe in detail the specific pieces of personal information and sensitive personal information we collect, the sources of that information, and how we disclose it. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA"), we are also required to inform you of the "categories" of personal information and sensitive personal information we collect and disclose for business or commercial purposes (as "categories" are defined under the CCPA).

During the twelve months preceding the effective date of this Policy, we have collected and disclosed the categories of personal information described in Section 1 for business or commercial purposes. These categories include: identifiers; financial information (such as payment details); commercial or transactional information; internet or other electronic network activity information; approximate geolocation data; audio or visual information (such as images and videos you submit); other information you voluntarily provide, including through User Content; other information that may identify you; and inferences drawn from the information we collect.

We also collect the following categories of "sensitive personal information," as defined under the CCPA: (i) account login credentials, including passwords or other authentication information that permits access to your account; and (ii) other sensitive personal information you may voluntarily provide in your capacity as an individual user of the Services (for example, if you voluntarily post User Content that reveals your race, religion, or sexual orientation).

We process the categories of personal information identified above for the purposes described in greater detail in Section 2.

We collect the categories of personal information identified above from the following sources: (1) directly from you; (2) through your use of the Services; and (3) other parties, including other users and non-affiliated third parties.

Our information disclosure practices are described in greater detail in Section 3.

"Sale" and "sharing" of personal information

The CCPA imposes certain obligations on businesses that "sell" or "share" personal information. When we use the terms "sell" or "share" (or their variants) in quotation marks, we are referring to those terms as specifically defined under the CCPA.

We may use third-party analytics and online advertising services that may result in the "sharing" of online identifiers (such as cookie data, IP addresses, device identifiers, approximate location information, and usage data) with advertising partners to promote the Services on other websites. If you or your authorized agent wish to opt out of our "sharing" of your information for these purposes, you may do so by using the tools described in the "Tailored Advertising" section above, which are also available here.

We do not knowingly "sell" or "share" the personal information of children under the age of 16.

Do-Not-Track disclosure

We do not currently respond to browser-initiated Do Not Track signals, as the internet industry continues to develop common standards, implementations, and solutions for Do Not Track.

Retention of your personal information

Please refer to the "Data Retention" section below.

CCPA rights

California residents may submit requests regarding their personal information as described in the "Rights to Information About You" section above. The CCPA also permits you to limit the use or disclosure of your "sensitive personal information" if it is used for certain purposes. Please note that we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes other than those for which you cannot opt out under the CCPA.

Children's Privacy

The Services are not intended for individuals under the age of 18, and our Terms of Service prohibit use by anyone under 18. If we become aware that an individual under 18 has provided us with "personal information," as defined by the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA"), we will terminate the account and delete the personal information to the extent required by COPPA. We may, where permitted by law, retain certain information internally for the purposes described in this Policy.

Security

Plotgo employs technical, administrative, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we collect against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no transmission over the internet or via email is entirely secure or error-free. Accordingly, we cannot and do not guarantee the absolute security of your information or communications.

Data Retention

In General.

We retain your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was processed. The retention period depends on the purposes for which we collected and use the information, as well as your choices; after that period, we may delete and/or aggregate the information. We may also retain and use your information as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Popular Characters.

If a Character you create and designate as "Public" attains a certain level of popularity, we reserve the right to preserve that Character's attributes and to keep it active on the Services, even if you subsequently delete your data or account. This is intended to avoid disrupting the experience of other users, as a highly popular Character is by definition engaged in active conversations with thousands of users. To prevent us from retaining information about you in this scenario, please refrain from including any personal information in the Character creation process if you are creating a "Public" Character.

Account Deletion

Please be aware that account deletion is a permanent action and is distinct from logging out. Once an account is deleted, it cannot be restored, and the following consequences will apply:

Irreversible Loss:

Deleting your account will result in the permanent loss of access to all products and services associated with that account. Your account cannot be recovered.

Data and Asset Deletion:

All personal data, in-game assets, favorites, memories, search history, chat logs with Characters, interaction data, and order records will be permanently deleted. This information cannot be recovered, even if you re-register using the same account credentials.

Character Ownership:

Upon deletion, you will relinquish ownership of any Characters you have created. The creator's identity will be displayed as "Deleted Account."

Immediate Effect:

Account deletion takes effect immediately upon confirmation, resulting in the termination of the account and all associated data, with no possibility of restoration.

We strongly recommend that you carefully consider these consequences before proceeding with account deletion.

Consent to Transfer

Our Services are operated globally, and your information may be stored and processed in the United States and other countries outside the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country. Your data may also be accessible to law enforcement and national security authorities under certain circumstances. By using the Services or providing us with any information, you consent to the collection, processing, storage, and transfer of your information in and to the United States and other applicable countries, where privacy laws may not be as comprehensive or equivalent to those in your country of residence or citizenship.

Links to Third Party Websites

The Services may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content or practices of those third-party websites or services. The collection, use, and disclosure of your information by third parties will be governed by their respective privacy policies, not this Policy. We encourage you to review the privacy and security policies of any third parties before providing them with your information.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in applicable law, our information practices, or the features of the Services. The date of the most recent revision will be indicated at the top of this Policy. If we make a material change, we will provide you with appropriate notice as required by law. Your continued use of the Services after such changes constitutes your acknowledgment and acceptance of the updated Policy.

Contacting us
